Cannon Cottage - Silver Sands

Cannon Cottage is located in the much sought after Silver Sands resort. Silver Sands is a gated community that is halfway between Montego Bay and Ochos Rios. The Silver Sands community has over 100 private luxury villas and cottages.

The villa gets it's name "Cannon Cottage" due to the fact that it still has two of the original cannons that were used in days gone by when Jamaica was a British colony.

Cannon Cottage has 3 beautiful en suite bedrooms and the property is spacious and tastefully decorated. Ochos Rios is the same distance in the other direction. Although called Ochos Rios or "Eight Rivers" in the Spanish language, Ochos Rios does not have eight rivers, the best guess is that the original Spanish name was Las Chorerras (The Waterfalls) due to the close proximity to the famous Dunn's river Waterfalls and became a misnomer when the British wrongly translated the name. Ochos Rios is a great place for all kinds of water sports as well a a great place to go snorkel diving and deep water fishing.
